Hey everyone, how’s it going?
This is my very first post and I’ve been struggling to figure out what exactly I want to share—should I dive into AI and all the wild tech ideas bouncing around my head? But I decided against it. First, I want to tell you why I decided to start a blog.
Basically, I’ve always had this urge to express myself. In the past I’d publish on other companies’ blogs or platforms like Medium or Dev.to, but I recently realized that’s kind of a bummer: your content ends up stuck on their site, and you lose freedom. Here, since I’m a developer, I can customize my blog exactly how I want. For example, I built a little podcast feature—a button with a player where I narrate what I’m writing for you. Actually, let me list all the cool features I added just because this is my own blog—things I could never do on a Medium:
Awesome features:
- Podcast narration built‑in
- Comments linked to GitHub discussions
- Dark mode exactly the way I like it
- Language switcher (English ↔ Portuguese)
- Curated “recommended links” wherever I choose
- Simple analytics (to see who’s stopping by)
And I built all that in about five hours. Crazy how easy programming is these days, right?
With all that set up, I finally started writing.
Alright Raryson, but how does this affect Grêmio? ⚽️
(For context, GrĂŞmio is the Brazilian football team I cheer for.)
Seriously though, what does this have to do with why I started a blog? Honestly, it’s just the side‑effect of deciding to go solo and build my own space.
But I really wanted to share because I was so pumped at how easy it was to get everything up and running. The real reason I started this blog was that I wanted a place to express myself freely, without the constraints of someone else’s platform. Plus, I was feeling a bit stuck—back in the day I was super active in the JS/TS community, and I want to get back into it. I’m itching to try out some hipster‑level side projects and share them with you all.
And of course, I’ll talk a bit about AI and anything else that catches my interest.
